Audit findings: shop.example

Example
  1. 01
    Critical

214 category pages carry a noindex tag

Google can’t show them, so its AI features can’t cite them either.

  2. 02
    High

    OAI-SearchBot and PerplexityBot are blocked

A copied robots.txt rule keeps the site out of ChatGPT and Perplexity answers.

  3. 03
    High

Mobile LCP is 4.1 s on product pages

Google’s “good” threshold is 2.5 s. The main image loads last.

  4. 04
    Medium

The business name differs across 11 directories

That makes it harder for search engines and AI tools to tie mentions to one business.

Example, not client results. Findings are ranked by impact, so the fix order is top to bottom.

Where you show up

One site. Six places people now search.

People get answers from Google’s results, Google’s AI, and AI assistants. They draw on many of the same signals, so we work on all six at once.

  • 01Search results

    Google Search

Classic results, rich results, and the local map pack. The groundwork here carries into Google’s AI features.

  • 02AI summary

    Google AI Overviews

AI summaries above the results, with links to the pages they draw on. To be cited, a page must be indexed and eligible for a snippet.

  • 03AI search

    AI Mode

Google’s conversational search. It runs related searches across subtopics and links supporting pages for each part of the answer.

  • 04AI assistant

    ChatGPT

ChatGPT search answers with linked sources. Its crawler, OAI-SearchBot, has to be allowed to read your pages.

  • 05Answer engine

    Perplexity

Answers built from web results, with numbered citations. PerplexityBot is the crawler that decides which sites it can show.

  • 06AI assistant

    Gemini

Google’s assistant can ground its answers in Google Search. The Google-Extended rule in robots.txt controls whether it may use your pages.

The overlap is the point. Crawlable pages, direct answers, and a business other sites mention help in all six. That is where we start.

What you see

Every report answers three questions.

Did rankings move? Did search traffic grow? Are AI tools citing you? The numbers come first, with what we changed next to them.

Rankings moved
Every tracked keyword, its position then and now, and the page that ranks for it.
Organic traffic gained
Visits from search compared with the previous period, taken from your own analytics.
AI citations earned
The questions we track in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google’s AI features, and whether your site is cited.

How we work

Audit, prioritize, fix, report. In that order.

The same four steps for every client and every service, so you always know which one we are on.

  1. 01

    Audit

We crawl your site, read your Search Console data, and check how Google and AI tools see your pages today.

    You get

A ranked list of what holds the site back.

  2. 02

    Prioritize

Each issue gets an impact and effort estimate. We fix what moves rankings first, not what is quickest to tick off.

    You get

A fix plan in order, agreed with you.

  3. 03

    Fix

We make the changes ourselves, or write tickets your developer can act on. Every change is logged with its date.

    You get

Shipped fixes and a change log.

  4. 04

    Report

Rankings moved, organic traffic gained, and AI citations earned, next to what we changed and what comes next.

    You get

A plain report, without the jargon.

Principles

Three rules we don’t bend.

If an agency has burned you before, start here.

  1. 01

    Audit first.

We don’t pitch, plan, or price anything until we have looked at your site. Advice without an audit is a guess.

  2. 02

    No guarantees.

Nobody controls Google’s rankings or what an AI tool cites. We control what we find, how well we fix it, and how clearly we report it.

  3. 03

    Reports are plain.

Rankings moved, traffic gained, AI citations earned. No vanity metrics, no 40-page decks, no jargon you need us to translate.

FAQ

Straight answers.

The questions people ask before they hire us.

Something else? Ask us directly.

How much does SEO cost?

It depends on scope. Send an inquiry and we’ll scope it one-to-one.

Can you guarantee rankings?

No. We find problems, fix them properly, and report what moves. No SEO agency can guarantee positions.

Fill in before launch

The answer to “How long until we see results?”, based on your typical timelines.

Only visible in the editor preview. The published site leaves this out until it is filled in.

Which platforms do you work with?

WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, headless setups, and custom-built sites. If Google can crawl it, we can work on it.

How is AI search optimization different from regular SEO?

They overlap more than most people expect. Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode only cite pages that are indexed and eligible for a snippet, so regular SEO comes first. The differences: AI tools favor pages that answer a question directly, that make it obvious who you are, and that other trusted sources mention. ChatGPT and Perplexity also run their own crawlers, which your site has to let in.

Do you work with local businesses or online-only businesses?

Both. Local SEO covers your Google Business Profile, location pages, reviews, and citations, so you show up when people nearby search. Online businesses need the wider version: site structure, content, and links that rank anywhere. We work remotely either way.

What do you need from us to start?

Your site’s URL. Access to Google Search Console helps a lot because it shows what Google actually sees, so we’ll ask for it, but it isn’t required to start.

What’s in the free audit?

The three issues we’d fix first on your site, explained plainly and reviewed by a person. It’s free and yours to keep, whether or not you hire us.
